I am a printmaker and acrylic painter. In both I am drawn to vibrant, pure color. Many times I will enhance my monotypes by adding materials such as handmade papers and found objects. My paintings are usually still lifes or landscapes, tending to be in an impressionistic style.  I belong to LOCA and through this group I have taught art to children at the Laguna Beach Boys and Girls Club and printmaking to adults at the Laguna Community and Senior Center.

For “Many Layers”:  This mixed media piece began as a monotype in blue tones. Then I added handmade and collected papers.  Finishing touches were done with colored pencils.

“Beautiful Ending”    Acrylic     $125.

I often use photographs that I have taken as a reference for a painting, especially with a sunset. The light fades so quickly.
