GAIL POLTORAK As a native Californian, she grew up with sun, sand, and surf living the Coastal lifestyle. The desire to inspire others to see the world with the “eye of an artist,” lead to a career teaching High School art for 27 years. Her Coastal Art gives us images that tell our stories. When we pause and reflect on a memory of a seashell washed ashore, a boat’s reflections casted on the water, or a beach cottage weathered over time, we celebrate our own story. Her art is called the “Happiness of Memories”, and gives us pause to “Reflect on what you love!”
Happiness is build on the gift of friendships. Crystal Cove has been a place for people to share their vision. Hollywood writers and actors gather to film the stories of dreams. Artists gathered to capture the uniqueness images of life on the coastal shores. Families, friends, and strangers formed lasting bonds made from celebrating memories of sharing friendship.
The process of living creates memories that tell our stories. Like Crystal Cove sun, sand, and surf have given our lives a unique patina. The beauty of these memories, like the cottages, are to be celebrated. “Reflect on what you Love” Artist in residence Quorum Art Gallery, Laguna Beach and Crystal Cove Art Gallery cottage #5, Newport Beach.
