Mike Tauber is a professional artist, working in paint, ceramic tile, and cement relief. His relief works pictured here are of hand laid, kiln fired ceramic, finished with silver leaf.
BIO
Tauber earned his bachelor’s degree in art at San Diego State University, and has been commissioned for murals in Australia, Brazil and throughout the American Southwest. He’s won numerous national awards from the Museum of Yosemite National Park, and multiple awards from the Laguna Beach Arts Alliance. These included Best in Leadership 2019 for his Festival of Mosaics program resulting in the Coastline to Canyon community mosaic at Neighborhood Congregational Church. At 120 feet, it is the longest ceramic mural in Laguna Beach.
His work is in the Festival of Arts Permanent Collection, and public art collections of City of Laguna Beach, Fullerton, Tustin, and others. Works were commissioned for Crab Cooker Newport Beach, Geppetto’s Toys of San Diego, Kaiser Permanente, K. Hovnanian Homes, PIMCO Foundation, Whole Foods Markets, Wilshire Grand Center, and many more. He is based in Laguna Beach, and works throughout Southern California and beyond.
