Muffin Spencer-Devlin

My name is Muffin Spencer-Devlin. I was a professional golfer on the LPGA Tour for about 20 years and I am now a professional glass blower showing at the Laguna Sawdust Art Festival and the Laguna Craft Faire.  I mentored under John Barber for four years and attended Pilchuck, Chihuilliy’s glass school.    I want to share with you how I honored my Mom after her death which made it easier for me to feel close to her. The concept I came up with is called ASH IN GLASS.  www.ashinglass.com and the three images shown here are examples of what I might make for you if you possess some cremation ash from your loved pet or person.  Not long after my mom died I had the idea to suspend a bit of her ashes in an orb that I crafted in glass.  I tried a heart, an egg and eventually a bone for my friend’s dog, Roxie.
